Lest We Forget

At Ashley School we have a proud tradition
to remember The Fallen and
every year we gather with our community in our school hall.

Today we worked together to create
 sand saucer arrangements
to place at the Cenotaph across the road from school.

Several of our lovely Mums helped us.

We thank you for your time.

Another group of helpers made fabulous wreaths for the older children to lay.

We held our remembrance assembly.

We heard how the Bugle was used during the war.
Later at the Cenotaph the Bugler played The Last Post.
A member of the RSA recited the Ode of Remembrance

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!
