Elmer the Elephant

We are learning about repeating patterns in Maths.

On Friday we read the story Elmer in the Snow by David McKee.
Elmer is an elephant who has a colourful body, with yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, green, black and white arranged as a patchwork.  We made our own patchwork elephants with lots of different patterns using paint and sponges. They certainly are very colourful!
What patterns can you see?

Come and check out our display.
See if you can find the answer to some of our Maths problems about Elmer!

  1. Really amazing patterning going on Bellbirds! Mrs.R.

  2. I love these. Not only are they mathematical, but also very colourful. The display looks amazing. Come on in for a look!!!
